Family Building Competition
Overview
We are holding a Family Building Competition to celebrate the opening of our new exhibit, Architects of Creativity: From Alden B. Dow to LEGO Bricks. The competition will take place at the Lake Jackson Historical Association on Saturday, January 27 from 11 AM - 1 PM. The winner of the competition will be determined by a community vote the same day from 1 - 3 PM. During this time, teams are invited to explore the exhibit and get food from local food truck vendors that will be on site, then come back for the announcement of the winning team at 3:30! The winning team will receive 4 tickets to the sold-out Houston Brick Fest for Saturday, February 3 at 11:30 AM and a visa gift card to cover the cost of parking at the event! The value of this prize is over $150!
Registration
Registration is limited to 10 teams. Each team my consist of up to 4 people, and at least 2 of these people must be under the age of 18. There is a registration fee of $40 (marked down from $60!) which includes materials for the competition that each team may take home after the winners have been announced, as well as the chance to win a prize that is valued at over $150! The registration fee may be paid in person at the Lake Jackson Historical Museum, or online. Your team's spot will not be secured until both the registration form and fee have been received by LJHA. Click here to pay the $60 registration fee online. The fee can also be paid in person at the Lake Jackson Historical Museum Tuesday - Saturday from 10 AM - 4 PM. We accept cash, card, or check. We take Visa and Mastercard.
