About the event
Mark your calendar! Registration opens on Tuesday, April 28 at 10 AM!
This camp is designed to highlight atomic age art and engage modern kids!
The Mid-Century Modern era defined the early days of Lake Jackson, and its influence can still be seen around town! Throughout the week, campers will learn about this bold, colorful style and use media including air dry clay, paint, and printmaking materials to create their own Mid-Century Modern-inspired artwork. The Alden B. Dow Office Museum, which formerly housed Alden Dow's 1940s MCM-style architecture office, is the perfect place to get creative. We will host a reception at the end of the week where family and friends are encouraged to come enjoy refreshments and view artwork made during the camp.
Camp is open to children ages 7 - 13* years. We are offering two camp sessions to different age groups in order to give campers the best experience possible.
