About the event

Every spring, the Boy Scouts conduct a dignified flag retirement ceremony at the Jackson Plantation Historic Site, which appropriately disposes of American flags that are no longer fit to fly. Enjoy a short ceremony by the Scouts, followed by a respectful flag retirement.

Do you have an American flag that is too worn or tattered to use? Bring it to the Historical Museum at 249 Circle Way by Tuesday, April 2nd.
