About the event
Want to learn more about what volunteering is like at LJHA? Come to the Lake Jackson Historical Museum on Tuesday, April 18th at 5:30 PM for a short presentation from our staff members. You'll have the opportunity to tour the museum, ask questions, and fill out an official volunteer application if you decide to join us!
Greeter
Do you enjoy meeting new people? Greeting visitors and helping with daily museum operations is one of our most essential roles.
We especially need folks during weekday mornings and Saturdays.
Docent
Do you love history and sharing what you know? You may enjoy giving tours to schools & groups.
This is a great opportunity for those who are flexible, respondent, and can't commit to a regular schedule.
Program/Event Volunteer
Do you enjoy organizing events? Are you quick on your feet & able to balance multiple duties? We always need help planning & executing educational programs, fundraisers, and events.
This is a great opportunity for those who are flexible, respondent, and can't commit to a regular schedule.
Collections & Exhibits Volunteer
Do you prefer to work behind the scenes? You can help with organizing and cataloging collections.
If you have experience with wood working, painting, or prefer technological challenges, you can use your skills to create new and updated exhibit elements.
If you want to learn how to scan archival documents and photographs, you can help digitize our collections.
