About the event

Come audition for a chance to be a part of the return of the much loved LJHA Murder Mystery Theatre, featuring whodunit play "A Whimsical Homicidal Seance." Whether you are new to the stage or regularly trod the boards, we want to see you! Characters and rehearsal schedule listed below. Please bring a list of any conflicts with you to auditions. Scripts will be provided that evening. Everyone is welcome!

PERFORMANCE DATES:

Saturday, September 21st at 6:30pm

Sunday, September 22nd at 2pm

Rehearsals:

Every Tuesday and Thursday, August 13th through September 19th, from 7:00pm-9:00pm

Dress rehearsal on Friday, September 20th

Characters: SEEKING 9 ADULTS

Gertrude- sister to Veronica; cousin to Reginald

Veronica- more elegant than her sister Gertrude; cousin to Reginald

Reginald Tuttle- a good-looking middle-aged man

Dr. Gustav Cruncher- an overly jovial, energetic man who is always laughing and speaks with a strange dialect

Officer Jerome Lestrade- rookie police officer; Veronica's fiance

Gloria Adler- the medium for the seance; a good-looking lady who dresses quite strangely

Olga (could be Boris)- Gloria's assistant who dresses even more strangely; looks a bit maniacal

Uncle Dudley (could be Aunt Abigail)- jovial and from an earlier time; has already passed on to the next realm

Mildred (could be Myron)- the maid (butler)

"A Whimsical Homicidal Seance," written by T.K. Kinney and directed by Cindy Gernand, will be performed as a fundraiser for the Lake Jackson Historical Association. Thank you to all of our volunteers who will help make this event a tremendous success!
