About the event
Museums across Brazoria County are teaming up to put on a Summer Museum Passport program for children!
How it Works:
Join us for the kick-off event at Lake Jackson Historical Museum on Saturday, June 1 from 10 AM - 1 PM! Get your passport (and your first stamp) while you learn about other participating museums and what you can expect to see at each one. Each museum is different and showcases unique parts of Brazoria County's history! You'll also learn how you can get entered in a raffle to win a great prize as summer comes to an end.
Not able to attend the kick-off event? Passports will be available at ALL participating locations (listed below) following the kick-off. Visit any participating museum/historic site during their regular business hours to pick up your passport and start collecting stamps! Your goal is to get at least 10 out of 13 locations stamped in order to enter the raffle at the closing event.
Freeport Historical Museum will host the closing event on Saturday, August 17 from 10 AM - 2 PM. During this event, you will show your completed passport to event volunters to be entered into the raffle prize giveaway. You must get 10 stamps to be entered, but you can get more! You will earn an additional raffle ticket if you visit all 13 sites, meaning you are entered twice! For more information on the closing event and a schedule of events for that day, follow Freeport Historical Museum's Facebook page!
