Registration opens Thursday, January 2 at 10 AM.


Calling all homeschoolers! Join us for a special mid-school year Junior Archaeology Camp session!


During this four day camp, participants will learn about archaeology, the role it plays in history, and speak to professionals in the field! Campers will learn from a variety of hands-on activities and games.


Camp is open to children ages 6 - 9 years old and, will take place at the Lake Jackson Historical Museum Tuesday, February 25 - Friday, February 28 from 10 AM - 12 PM.


Throughout the week we will cover curriculum-related knowledge and skills including:

  • Use of time-order vocabulary

  • Introduction to timelines

  • Using historical sources and artifacts to study the past

  • Sequencing and categorizing information

  • Creating and using maps

  • Practice problem-solving and decision-making


Registration Fee:

LJHA Members: $45

Non-Members: $50
