About the event

The Lake Jackson Historical Association invites the community to participate in a Día de Los Muertos altar exhibit, The Ofrenda: History, Symbol, Tradition, by contributing photos or mementos of departed loved ones to a community altar on display from October 4 to November 1, 2025.


Submission Guidelines: Items submitted must fit within a one gallon zip lock bag.


Submissions may be dropped off at any Brazoria County library (mybcls.org) from August 20 to September 20, or directly at the Lake Jackson Historical Museum, 249 Circle Way, through November 1.


Please do not include original photographs, heirlooms, or any personal items that are valuable or sentimental. No open flames, liquids, food, or perishable items allowed. Neither the Brazoria County Library System nor LJHA is responsible for lost or damaged items.
