"What is Mid-Century Modern?" Children's Display

Lake Jackson residents have most likely heard the term "mid-century modern" used to describe local architecture, design, and even the town in general. How do you recognize this style and describe it to others? Plan family visits to the Activity Center on the first-floor of the Lake Jackson Historical Museum and the Alden B. Dow Office Museum during the month of March to learn more about this iconic style! The displays will include examples from illustrations in well-known children's books, artwork, and architecture with hands-on activities! Admission to both locations is always free.
